My work in photography ranges from contemporary corporate portraiture to a fine art series dedicated to my travel experiences, Birmingham, and my favorite little desktop toy.
I am a fine art, commercial, and portrait photographer, and a future The Price is Right Contestant.
I am originally from a small town in the mountains of northeast Alabama where one red-light and a gas station command most of the town. After attending and graduating from Birmingham-Southern, I fell in love with the beautiful, newly thriving city of Birmingham. Trading the small town mountains for the big city hills, I haven't left since.
After years and years of my photography professor telling me I was a photographer and not some guy in a corporate cubicle doing TPS reports, I finally listened. I traded my tie bars for light stands, slacks for flashes, and my 8-5 for the 24/7... Although, I do still enjoy the occasional tie bar.
Photography is a passion driven experience. I love being in the moment visualizing, interpreting, creating, extrapolating a story — whether it be beautiful, powerful, grungy, or pristine. The chance to tell my story, through the imagery of others and the world around me, gratifies me more than I could ever describe with words.

My life goal is to be on The Price Is Right. I like to eat good food so I try to cook good food. I like puns. I brush my teeth with Crest toothpaste - and currently it's the orange minty kind.
I picked up a camera for the first time in college. It was serendipitous, but it happened. And now I am here making the most of it.
I was once lost and unsure of what is really about - possibly like every young 20 something who hasn't quite figured it out yet, I was lucky enough to discover myself and who I really am by gripping a camera and exploring the world around me. I quickly realized my story isn't of solidarity, lost within this fragment of time in this tiny spot in our relatively big planet; my story and the chance to tell it is actually 1 engrained, inherently infused with the lives and efforts of the world around me. Life is large, and we are all an integral part of it. It may only be in fragments-which if you think about it, that is exactly the concept of photography, a brief moment in time captured forever - but everything and everyone is connected beautifully and every aspect of this life has a story to tell. My story starts there. I am on a journey to interpret the stories around me, take it in, do a few mental calculations and subconscious conferring, and then, spit out the results in my unique slightly goofy own little way that hopefully makes you stop, just for a moment, to read something you may have never read before.
Working with me might be considered different. I am methodical. I am marginally goofy. I am a relationship 1-1 kind of person and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know you and what makes you tick. So, I will ask you the same goofy questions that I ask myself. With that said, I do laugh at myself quite a bit. Let's laugh together.
